So...it's been a LONG time since anyone posted a recipe here at creamsauce, so I'm going to post one myself. This is really not at all a *true* fandom asylum, but I really do enjoy sharing recipes and I'd rather share them with people I share other interests with instead of some recipe sharing site.

This is a pretty common recipe...I've seen versions of it ALL over the interwebs, but this is my take on it. I first made it a couple of months ago, just after I found out I had diabetes. I needed something for a potluck at work and wanted to make something with chicken, which is a great lean protein choice. I am a HUGE fan of buffalo chicken flavor, so this seemed like a good choice. As it turns out, EVERYONE (at least at my school) likes buffalo chicken and they gobbled this stuff up. I made it again right before Thanksgiving for another potluck and I had even more requests for the recipe than I did the first time. Another teacher told me today she's made it three times since I gave her the recipe. It's pretty good stuff, *AND* it's very low-carb.

Buffalo Chicken Dip
1 8 oz. package cream cheese (I use the fat-free kind)
1/2 cup bleu cheese salad dressing
1/2 cup Frank's Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
1 rotisserie chicken (I use mostly breast meat, but use whatever you like), skin removed and meat chopped or shredded

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Soften cream cheese and mix with the dressing, sauce and cheese in a glass dish. Stir in chicken and bake about 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. I serve it with tortilla chips for those who don't care about carbs and celery sticks for those of us who do!

Simple and delish...my favorite kind of recipe.

Title/Series: Cyber Monday! (A Thanksgiving Visit, part V)
Author: BookGirl
Prompt: Bah Humbug

Brian woke up to the sound of typing. A one-eyed squint revealed a naked blond snuggling with his laptop. “What in the hell are you doing?” He asked roughly, “It's 4 AM.”
“It's Cyber Monday!” Justin whispered excitedly.
Brian furrowed his brow, or at least tried to. It was a little early for facial expressions. “Unless that has something to do with porn, you and the laptop need to get out of my bed.”
“You always say Christmas is really all about commercialism, I'm just trying to prove you right.”
“Well Bah Humbug, then.” Brian muttered, slapping the laptop closed and diving on Justin.

Title: Old Friends
Author: [info]vl_redreign
Prompt: Bah!Humbug!

Notes: Same timeline, shift in POV. And mention of an old, much missed friend. This thing took off on me, and I had to cut out almost 40 words. So, unbeta'd.

Lindsay stood at the backdoor and stripped each child, wrapping them in terry robes and leading them to the kitchen table, where hot chocolate awaited.

Marie entered, carrying her youngest, followed by Mel.

“I’m so glad you guys are here,” she said. “Dusty loved the holidays.”

“Do you remember that year when she and I were insane enough to do the Black Friday sales?”

Marie laughed. “That was a nightmare!”

“I told her she was nuts to go,” Mel added.

“I miss her still,” Linds said softly.

“Well, she’d want us to enjoy ourselves. No ‘bah humbugs’ in this house.”

It's like I forgot how to multi-task. LOL

I'm rushing around trying to get ready for my vacation (I leave on Sunday). Eventually, I'll be at this fabulous spa for a few days before heading to my sister's.

I CANNOT WAIT.

However, before I can go, I have so much to do. All the presents have to be wrapped and packed for them for xmas and my nephew's first birthday. I have to get the pet sitter in here so I can show her what she needs to do with Champ.

I have to finish laundry, pack, finish decorating the house for the holidays (so it's all done when I get home) and somewhere in all that, I MUST get my hair done. Oh and did I mention that I have to work too?

So, instead of focusing on all of this, I ordered myself a bday present, the BLACKBERRY CURVE 8330 and I got it in red...to match my car. ROFL. I'm just kidding, it was either that or orange and since I'm a diva, I went with red.

WOOHOO my enhanced license came so I can easily cross the border into Canada and back, so it's official, I've got all I need for the trip.

Title: Thankful
Prompt: Thanksgiving Day
Notes: I know I'm being glib about Thanksgiving, but it's a very Australian trait, so plze forgive! Tweaked very slightly from the original posted at [info]qaf_drabbles for the 37 Days of Gusmas drabble challenge. There's lots of good stuff going on over there. Check it out!

*

“Happy Thanksgiving!”

“Hey, Sunshine. You too. Or was that yesterday for you?”

“It would have been, but Australians know nothing about Thanksgiving, and care even less. Besides, it’s too damn hot here for turkey.”

“Poor Justin. Suffering for your art.”

I snort. “Shut up. I know I shouldn’t complain; the weather's great and I’ve sold three pieces already. I just wish I was there.”

“No worries, mate!” Brian says in a god-awful Australian accent. “I’ll stuff your turkey when you get back.”

I laugh. “Maybe I’ll stuff yours too.”

He lowers his voice. “Well, there’s something to be thankful for.”

I also wanted to post a B/J ice skating story, but it's not working out. Can I pimp my need for a beta here?

Title: Where It’s Snowing

Author: [info]noteverything
Prompt: First Snow
Notes: Unbeta’d...all mistakes are mine. This is for the amazing [info]fun_demented, for more reasons than I could ever say. &hearts
I took the idea from a drabble I wrote last year for the 100 drabbles [info]jule1122 and I did for the 100th prompt in [info]qaf_drabbles. Sort of a prequel, if you will.

“George! You have to come see!” Emmett’s voice rang through the room as he hurried in to rouse George from his easy chair near the roaring fire. “First snow of the season!”

Emmett, dressed all in white right down to his fur-topped boots, was grinning from ear to ear as he handed George his coat and mittens. “It’s so beautiful,” Emmett exclaimed.

George let himself be pulled out into the yard and spent the rest of the afternoon with the love he never thought he’d find, building a snowman with a red scarf and a pickle for a nose.

Title/Series: Missing You (A Thanksgiving Visit, part IV)
Author: BookGirl
Prompt: Holidays on Ice
Note: Quick, dirty and unbetaed. I apologize for any mistakes.

“How is it possible you've been here for 8 hours and my dick has yet to make contact with your ass?” Brian asked sliding the loft door closed behind them.
“Poor baby, next time I'll just let you fuck me right on the table. We can use the gravy as lube. I'm sure Deb won't mind a bit”
“She's seen worse I'm sure. Someone need a drink.”
“What I need is you naked, but I'll settle for a Christmas Ale.”
Brian snorted. “Christmas Ale are you kidding me?”
“Yeah, it's like the holidays on Ice.”

I've been crazy busy this weekend with all kinds of family stuff but I kept sneaking away and checking in on fandom on my phone. Looks like lots of good stuff has been going on and hopefully I'll have time to catch up this week. I'm especially happy to see all the drabbles!

I've been waiting to find out the release date of my first original fic at Torquere Press and I finally got the email today. July 21st 2010... I was expecting it to be sometime after the first of the year but I was shocked that I will have to wait that long.

Title: Ungraceful Under Pressure

Prompt: Holidays On Ice

Notes: [info]frantic_quest gave me the idea for this one. I couldn't resist.

Gus and JR ran around the outskirts of the pond, laughing. Michael alternately pelted them with snow, and watched the spectacle before him.

On the pond, revelations were being discussed.

“Okay, explain to me how you’re so good at ice skating?” Justin huffed.

“Ice hockey. Best way to get back at the jocks in school,” Brian replied. “What I don’t get is, how the country club brat isn’t good at ice skating. Don’t they give you private lessons or something?”

“Or something. Good thing my ass is bouncy. Came in handy a lot.”

“So that’s how it got so big!”

Buy the damn roses, Brian

What do you think would have been different if Brian had bought the roses? (Also does anyone have an icon of Brian holding the not-purchased roses?)

Hi everyone!

I just realized I have almost no Jewish icons! which would have been just fine if I wasn't Jewish, but I am, and therefore must have more jewish icons!

I was hoping maybe someone would be willing to make me some icons with Jewish references, like when Mel says "that's right, blame the Jew" or maybe some with Ted in the Gay-Jewish-bar night party or whatever it was in season 5... if you need more, I can give them to you on the comments.

Thanks in advance!
